Seller Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Seller Terms & Conditions govern the consignment relationship between Vintage Hype Paris (VHP) and any individual or entity (Seller) who submits items for sale through VHP's platform. By submitting items, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

To sell with VHP, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal right to sell the items you submit. Items must be owned outright by you — items under finance, lien, or any encumbrance are not eligible.

3. Submission of Items

3.1 All items must be submitted in accordance with VHP's current submission guidelines, including the product file format and photo requirements.
3.2 VHP reserves the right to refuse any item at its sole discretion.
3.3 Sellers are responsible for the cost and safe packaging of items shipped to VHP. VHP recommends insured shipping.

4. Authentication

4.1 All items are subject to authentication by VHP's team.
4.2 Items that fail authentication will not be listed and will be returned to the Seller at the Seller's expense.
4.3 VHP's authentication decision is final. VHP is not liable for any dispute arising from an authentication outcome.

5. Pricing

5.1 The Seller sets the asking price, which is subject to agreement with VHP.
5.2 VHP may recommend price adjustments based on current market conditions. Any adjustment requires mutual written agreement.
5.3 VHP reserves the right to decline to list items priced outside a commercially reasonable range.

6. Listing Period

6.1 Items are listed for a standard period of 90 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6.2 If an item is unsold at the end of the listing period, VHP will contact the Seller to agree on a price adjustment, a listing extension, or the return of the item.
6.3 If no response is received within 14 days, VHP may extend the listing at the current price.

7. Commission & Payment

7.1 VHP charges a commission on each successful sale. The applicable commission rate is set out in the Commission Policy and confirmed in your onboarding email.
7.2 Payment of the Seller's net proceeds will be made within 7 business days of a confirmed sale, via the payment method agreed during onboarding.
7.3 In the event of a buyer return or payment reversal, VHP reserves the right to recover the paid proceeds from the Seller.

8. Care of Items

VHP will take reasonable care of all items in its possession. Items are held at VHP's premises at the Seller's risk, but VHP maintains insurance cover for items in its care. VHP's liability is limited to the agreed listing price of the item.

9. Unsold & Returned Items

Sellers may request the return of unsold items at any time by written notice. Return shipping costs are at the Seller's expense. VHP will arrange return within 14 business days of receiving the return request and payment of shipping costs.

10. Representations & Warranties

The Seller warrants that: (a) they are the legal owner of submitted items; (b) items are authentic; (c) items are free from any third-party claim; and (d) the submission does not violate any applicable law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR JURISDICTION — please update]. Any dispute will be referred to the courts of that jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

VHP reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Sellers will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of VHP's services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
