Accepted Product Condition

Vintage Hype Paris uses a standardised condition grading system to ensure consistency and buyer trust. All submitted items are graded by our team upon receipt. Use this guide when describing your items in your application.

Condition Grades

New / Unworn (NW)

Item is brand new, never worn or used, and ideally still in original packaging with all tags attached. No signs of use whatsoever.

Excellent (E)

Item has been used minimally. No visible scratches, stains, or wear. May show very faint signs of handling upon close inspection. Hardware is pristine or near-pristine.

Very Good (VG)

Item shows light signs of use consistent with careful ownership. Minor surface marks, light scuffs on hardware, or slight fading may be present. No damage to structure or functionality.

Good (G)

Item shows moderate signs of use. Visible scratches, light staining, or patina on leather may be present. Item is fully functional and presentable. No tears, broken hardware, or structural issues.

Fair (F)

Item shows significant signs of wear. Heavier staining, fading, worn hardware, or minor repairs may be present. Accepted only for rare, highly sought-after pieces. Must be clearly disclosed.

What We Do Not Accept

• Items with broken zips, clasps, or structural damage (unless fully repaired by a specialist)
• Items with heavy staining, mould, or odour
• Items with missing key components (e.g. no strap on a bag where the strap is integral)
• Items graded below "Fair" by VHP's team
• Items that have been heavily altered or personalised

Condition Disputes

If VHP's team grades an item differently from your description, we will contact you before listing. If the lower grade significantly affects the listing price and you disagree, you may request the return of the item.
