Authenticity & Condition Guide

At Vintage Hype Paris, every item is personally sourced and inspected before it reaches you. Here is how we assess and communicate the quality of each piece.

Authenticity

All branded and designer items are authenticated by our team before listing. We examine labels, hardware, stitching, materials, and provenance where available. Items we cannot authenticate to a sufficient standard are listed without brand attribution.

For high-value luxury pieces, provenance documentation or certificates of authentication are included where available.

Condition Grades

Each item is assigned a condition grade based on our hands-on inspection. Here is what each grade means:

Grade	What to Expect
Like New	Unworn or worn once. No visible signs of use. May have original tags.
Excellent	Lightly used with minimal signs of wear. No stains, holes, or damage.
Very Good	Gently used with minor visible wear — light fading, small marks. All noted in the listing.
Good	Noticeably pre-owned with visible wear consistent with age and use. All flaws clearly described and photographed.

Photography

Every listing includes a styled product image plus multiple real-condition photographs. Any wear, flaws, or notable details are photographed and described — we believe in full transparency.

Measurements

We provide garment measurements for each item wherever possible. Vintage sizing frequently differs from modern sizing — always refer to the measurements listed rather than the label size.
